The CUT4000S Series is a CNC-controlled multi-wire cutting machine for the commercial processing of EPS and Neopor blocks.

With up to 10 cutting wires, contours, panels and recurring cuts can be produced efficiently in a single operation. The rotating cutting arms allow the multi-wire system to be used in both horizontal and vertical orientation.

During the cutting process, the cutting arms move along the material. The machine table remains stationary and is freely accessible from all sides. This makes loading and unloading EPS blocks easy.

Depending on the model, standard EPS blocks up to 3,000 x 1,250 x 1,250 mm can be processed.

The CUT4000S is therefore particularly suitable for companies producing a wide range of EPS and Neopor products and looking to increase productivity through the use of multiple cutting wires.

Commercial Production


The CUT4000S Series was developed for the efficient processing of EPS and Neopor blocks in commercial production environments. With up to 10 cutting wires, panels, profiles, contours and recurring cuts can be produced in a single operation.

The rotating cutting arms allow the multi-wire system to be used horizontally or vertically. This makes the CUT4000S suitable for different production tasks without requiring a separate machine.

Typical applications include the production of panels, profiles, pipe sections, formwork elements and technical cut parts.

CUT4000S - Features


The CUT4000S Series is assembled, adjusted and fully tested at our factory. Its robust steel construction, powerful drives and machine design optimized for multi-wire cutting provide reliable operation in commercial production.

The machine is designed for easy material handling, high repeatability and flexible operation. Depending on the application, cutting can be performed with a single wire or with multiple wires.

Standard Equipment

CUT4000S Series - CNC multi-wire cutting machine

The CUT4000S Series was developed for the productive processing of standard EPS blocks. Depending on the model, blocks up to 3,000 x 1,250 x 1,250 mm can be processed.

During cutting, the material remains on the stationary machine table. The cutting arms move along the block. The open machine design allows easy loading and unloading.

Standard equipment includes all components required for multi-wire operation, including the rotating cutting arms, wire tensioning system, power regulation and CNC control.

Rotating Cutting Arms

CUT4000S Series - rotating cutting arms

The CUT4000S Series is equipped as standard with rotating cutting arms. This allows the multi-wire system to be positioned horizontally or vertically depending on the application.

With up to 10 cutting wires, panels, contours and other recurring cuts can be produced efficiently.

The adjustable orientation of the cutting arms expands the machine's range of applications without requiring complex repositioning of the material or a separate machine.

Wire Mounting and Wire Tensioning

CUT4000S - wire mounting and wire tensioning

The cutting wires are mounted on both sides using tension springs. They compensate for the change in wire length caused by heating and maintain consistent wire tension during the cutting process.

The cutting wires can be installed and removed without tools. This allows quick wire changes and easy adjustment of the number of wires used.

The wire spacing can be adjusted to suit the required application. This makes it possible, for example, to cut several panels or recurring profiles in a single operation.

Automatic Power Regulation

CUT4000S - automatic power regulation

The CUT4000S features automatic power regulation for the cutting wires. The power supply provides the electrical power required for the thermal cutting process.

The regulation system helps maintain a consistent wire temperature, providing reproducible cutting conditions when processing EPS and Neopor.

This allows the machine to be reliably adjusted and operated with different wire lengths and cutting applications.

CNC Control

CUT4000S - CNC industrial control

The CUT4000S Series is equipped with a 2-axis CNC industrial control specifically configured for the machine.

The control system precisely coordinates the movement of both machine axes and enables reproducible production of contours, panels and recurring cuts.

The coordinated combination of CNC control, drives and machine software is designed for reliable operation in commercial production.

Machine Software and LAN Controller

CUT4000S - LAN controller and machine software

The CUT4000S is supplied with the required machine software and a LAN controller for communication between the Windows PC and CNC control.

The machine software is used to load, start and monitor cutting programs and to operate the machine during the production process.

Communication with the machine takes place via a LAN connection. This eliminates dependency on USB connections and is designed for stationary use in a production environment.

A Windows PC with an available LAN port is required for operation. Alternatively, the machine can be equipped with a preconfigured computer system and operator panel.

Optional Accessories


The CUT4000S Series can be equipped with additional accessories depending on the application. This allows the machine to be adapted to different production requirements and operating concepts.

Pneumatic Wire Tensioning System

CUT4000S - pneumatic wire tensioning system

The CUT4000S can optionally be equipped with a pneumatic wire tensioning system.

Compared with the standard spring tensioning system, the pneumatic system provides consistent and defined tension of the cutting wires across the entire working range.

This makes the system particularly suitable for applications using multiple cutting wires and frequently changing wire spacing, where consistent wire tension and high process stability are important.

Computer System

CUT4000S - preconfigured Windows computer system

The CUT4000S can optionally be supplied with a preconfigured Windows PC optimized for machine operation.

The required machine software is already installed and configured. This reduces commissioning effort and prepares the system for communication with the CNC control.

Depending on the required configuration, the computer system can be combined with a monitor, keyboard, mouse and operator panel.

Barcode Scanner

CUT4000S - barcode scanner

With an optional barcode scanner, job-specific cutting programs can be selected directly via barcode and loaded into the machine software.

This simplifies program selection during production and reduces the risk of loading the wrong cutting file.

styroCAM CAM Software

styroCAM CAM software for CUT4000S

For creating cutting programs, we recommend our styroCAM CAM software.

Existing drawing data can be imported in formats including DXF, DWG and PLT and prepared for machining on the CUT4000S.

styroCAM supports the creation of recurring cutting programs and provides a continuous workflow from the drawing to the finished machine program.

Scope of Delivery


The CUT4000S is assembled, adjusted and fully tested at our factory. The machine is then prepared for transport and delivered in transport-optimized assemblies.

The basic components required for machine operation are included in the scope of delivery. A computer system, operator panel and CAM software can be added separately depending on the required configuration.

The CUT4000S can be used with different vector, CAD and CAM programs to create drawings and cutting programs.

For generating the machine programs, we recommend our styroCAM CAM software. However, the use of styroCAM is not mandatory. Alternatively, any suitable CAM software that generates ISO G-code can be used.

CUT4000S or CUT5000S?


Both machine series are designed for productive processing of EPS and Neopor blocks using multiple cutting wires. The main difference lies in the machine concept and material flow.

With the CUT4000S, the material block remains on the stationary machine table while the cutting arms move along the material. The CUT5000S uses a moving machine table and a stationary cutting frame. This makes it particularly suitable for production processes requiring higher material throughput and greater multi-wire capacity.
