The Fastwire series owes its extremely fast cutting performance to the incomparably quickly moving and finely barbed cutting wire. According to the federal occupational safety regulations, these kinds of machines do require a certain set of safety measures to protect the workers and operators. This is why cnc-multitool also supplies a protective safety fence for the FW 4000H as standard equipment straight from our factory. Sawing is a mechanical process that will inevitably generate a lot of noise and dust. Therefore, it is absolutely imperative that any operator or worker near and around a running fast wire cutting machine has to comply with the current hearing and respiratory protection rules and regulations. We also recommend to continuously remove the sawing dust with an industrial extractor fan. The FW 4000H is a very powerful and high performance fast wire cutting machine for the commercial production. This machine will be fully tested, inspected first and then packaged for delivery. The montage and start up can either be done by the customer themselves or, for a small surcharge, they will have the option to call out one of our technicians, who will be able to set them up and get them running within 3 hours. It makes sense to compare the FW 4000H with a racing horse: this machine will position itself with 6 m/min and its cutting wire gallops at almost 300 km/h to its target position. However, the in Germany engineered and manufactured machine has a lot more to offer than just lightning speed. Here is an overview of its most important features:
The 4000 series comes with a machine table made of welded and powder coated steel. The work top is nested on rollers, which makes it extendible, so it can be loaded comfortably from three sides. It will provide enough support for heavier materials and prevent them from slipping whilst being cut. We do recommend to clamp down lighter materials or to fixate them with double-sided adhesive tape.
With the Touchpad, controlling the FW 4000H is almost easier than child's play. One advantage is that the operator will make fewer mistakes when entering any information and use the machine more intuitively. It even works with working gloves. It doesn't get any easier than this!
The Touchscreen package also includes a strong steel frame with a flexibly adjustable cantilever. This will ensure that the monitor will always be at the correct height and the PC will also be securely within the console.
Choose the right wire for the material and depending on the level of quality for the finished product. We deliver ready to use endless wire with a diameter between 1 to 2 mm. As a rule of thumb: the thinner the wire, the finer the cut. The maximum usable wire length is around 1,250 mm.
Blocks made from Styrofoam or other hard foams are generally easy to cut. Sometimes it makes sense to cut larger blocks into smaller ones to make the overall processing somewhat easier. Standard blocks are usually 2 meters long with a width and height of 1,250 mm each. The FW 4000H can even be loaded with multiple whole blocks at the same time.
You can cut panels and boards from these blocks in the desired thickness manually or automatically. If the software is in charge of the process, then machine will even run unattended.
The Nesting mode will enable a material optimized cut that will literally nest the various cuts in such a way that the least amount of material waste will be created. The cutting data for this mode will be calculated by our multiCut software.
The panel and board cutting function of the FW 4000H is ideal for the production of mattresses, insulation panels, upholstery etc., as it will cut larger boards into smaller ones. Furthermore, the machine software will also support the so-called trimming process, whereby the machine cuts two or more thinner panels out of one thicker board.
One thing every machine operator will value is the low maintenance. The 4000 Fastwire series contains a low maintenance belt drive, which will also ensure that this machine will last for a long time. Exactly what you need when you are processing large quantities of mineral wool, plastic foams, PE, PP or PUR foams on a daily basis.
The CAM software will enable you to create programs for rotational cutting, lathe cutting, creating curved and arched profiles (Profiler), multi-profile cutting and cutting with multiple wires. multiCUT is a cloud based software that works independently from any operating system and therefore will run on any Windows or MAC computer. Each update and the continuously growing data catalogue will be immediately available to you. As long as you have a modern browser like Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome, you will be able to access our web based program. Your data will be imported into our StyroCAM software via the internet quickly and conveniently. The supported file formats are DWG, DXF, PLT and STL.
StyroCAM will also save you money, because you can divide your work: Whilst you are already preparing the new project, the Styrofoam cutting machine will keep running on the current assignment. You can upload your newly designed 2D contours in a DWG, DXF or PLT format into our StyroCAM software whilst the machine is still processing the previous run. Everything else will be smooth sailing, as StyroCAM will calculate your final 2D and 3D cutting data within mere seconds.
The G-codes can be uploaded into the CNC Styrofoam cutting machine either via the network or via USB stick. From here on in the machine software will take over the control over the cutting and process the corresponding control data into the finished product.
