cnc-multitool is a German company based in Ilmenau, Thuringia.
We produce and sell high quality CNC hot wire cutting machines since 2008 for processing EPS, XPS and EPP and CNC cold wire cutting machines and CNC portal milling machines with up to 4 axes.
All machines are developed by us in Germany (Thuringia), assembled and extensively tested in practice. Since 2018 our software team works on a cam software called the styroCAM that can quickly create 2D and 3D cutting data.
In addition to the highest quality , we guarantee one in this market segment unmatched reliability and practicality.
Our development
We initially started as a software development compay and the automation of production processes.
In 2006 we developed for an EPS company a Software for automation tasks. To test the softwre, a cnc controlled hot wire cutting machine with 4 Axes was required. At that time only bigger, expensive CNC machines were available and such small machine hard to find, we decided to just develop one ourselves.
The task was harder than expected and we had to find out that it is not just difficult to develop such a machine, but to finish it up all the way, so that another person can work with it. After more than a year we were done.
2007
This small 4-axis CNC hot wire cutting machine was launched in 2007 and sold as a machine kit as model ST600S. The ME800S followed quickly and later the LA1000S. 2010 we ended this concept.
2012
we built the first CUT3000S with 4 axes and a short time later the CUT4000S with 10 wires.
2017
followed the first CNC cold wire cutting machine and
2019
soon after we started with the development of the W2 milling machine with spindle and oscillating knife. This development was completed in 2021.
