Our CNC routers of the W2 series will give you more freedom when milling 2D and 3D molds made of flexible foams (made of PE, PP and PUR), as well as wood, acrylic, PVC, CFK and GRP, but also polystyrene (EPS) and Styrodur (XPS).
In addition to a powerful 9.0 kW spindle motor, the machines in this series optionally have a permanently installed oscillating blade. So you can not only mill but also cut. Thus, the W2 series is recommended as a flexible production machine for all foam processors, sign makers and packaging specialists.
The W2 series is a professional machine. With its sturdy machine table made of welded and subsequently hardened steel profiles it appeals to craft and industrial users.
The W2 series is a powerful CNC milling machine for commercial productions. The machine will be fully tested, inspected and then packaged in modules for delivery. The montage and start up can either be done by the customer themselves or optional by one of our technicians. The standard equipment contains the following components:
This CNC-router has to be seen live and in action. So, why not schedule a visit with our team in our competence center in Ilmenau, Germany right now? You will be able to see for yourself just how advanced this milling machine is and how your production could benefit from it. This applies especially to those, who have already worked with previous models. The smooth collaboration between our powerful hardware and high performance software really is a sight worth savoring. You won't want to leave once you are here.
Our experienced and fully trained staff will gladly answer all your questions and show you in a live presentation what this W2-machines are capable of. Why not write to us or simply give us a call right now!
ContactHere is an overview of its most important features:
The W2 series has a sturdy machine table made of welded and then hardened steel profiles. Thanks to the integrated vacuum table, the workpiece has sufficient support and does not slip during milling. Lighter materials or very open-pored we recommend clamping or fixing with double-sided adhesive tape.
All machines of this series are equipped with a robust 9.0kW milling spindle with 24.000rpm. These spindles are air-cooled. Optionally, this series can also be equipped with a water-cooled spindle with 30,000 rpm.
The matching frequency converter with 11.0kW allows safe and low-wear operation.
Optionally, an automatic tool changer with 5 or 10 holders can be ordered. The change process takes place directly from the magazine into the spindle (pick-up changer).
The operation of such a knife is very simple. A powerful oscillation motor quickly moves the blade up and down, while a servomotor rotates the cutting knife in its cutting direction. Thus, such a tangential knife is ideal for extremely precise cutting of various materials, such as sealing materials, cardboard, leather, cork, foam and much more. The knife cuts precisely and quickly.
For reliable operation of the machine and a long service life the W2 series is equipped with high-quality drive components, guides and drives.
By default, we ship these machines with powerful 750W servomotors on all axes. Only this guarantees high milling speeds with maximum precision.
This W2 series has installed by default high-quality linear guides on all axes. The bed of the guides are planed, exactly measured and aligned. On the main axes (X / Y), the helical racks convert the rotary motion of the servomotors into linear motion. For the vertical axis (Z) this is ensured by a generously dimensioned ball screw to guarantee the 9.0 kW milling spindle moves precisely up and down.
The W2 series needs a CAM software to quickly and easily create milling programs from drawings. To do this you create drawings in CorelDraw® or AutoCAD or any other vector program and export it as DXF, DWG or PLT drawings. These drawings are then loaded into the CAM software and converted into a machine program with just a few clicks, which can then be milled. Depending on the application and existing CAD software, different CAM programs are available. Good software is e.g. VCarve pro from Vectric.
Would you agree that nowadays many design engineers develop their machines past its actually needed use? In our group of companies, we produce foam pieces from flexible foam, EPS, XPS and other materials on a daily basis. This is why cnc-multitool is able to offer actually practical hardware and software - literally from users for users.
