THE RIGHT MACHINE FOR YOUR PRODUCTION

Fastwire cutting for different materials and production tasks

Our CNC Fastwire machines cut boards, blocks, contours and profiles from insulation and foam materials using an abrasive cutting process.

All four series use the same abrasive wire cutting principle. The main difference is whether you want to process individual boards, blocks, high volumes or roof insulation components.

The FW1000H series is designed for individual boards and smaller parts, the FW4000H series for boards and blocks where ceiling height is limited, the FW5000H series for high volumes and complete pallets, and the FW5000HR series specifically for tapered insulation and roof insulation components.

Typical materials include stone wool, PU, PUR, PIR, PE, EPE, PP, EPS, XPS, EPP and other technical foams. We offer the appropriate cutting wire for each material.

MACHINE SELECTION

Four machine concepts at a glance

Choose the series based on how your material is supplied and what you want to produce.

FW1000H series – for individual boards and smaller parts

The FW1000H series is the compact solution for processing individual boards. It cuts profiles, insulation parts, packaging components and free 2D contours.

Typical materials include stone wool, PU, PUR, PIR, PE, EPE, PP, EPS, XPS and EPP. If you mainly process individual boards, the FW1000H is the right series.

FW4000H series – for boards and blocks where ceiling height is limited

The FW4000H series processes both boards and blocks. Its low-profile design makes it particularly suitable where ceiling height is limited.

It is the flexible choice when you process different dimensions, contours and materials and use both boards and block material in production.

FW5000H series – for high volumes and industrial production

The FW5000H series is designed for high throughput and recurring production tasks. It is particularly suitable when complete pallets and large material volumes need to be processed efficiently.

This makes it the right series for industrial production, high volumes and more automated material handling.

FW5000HR series – for tapered insulation and roof insulation components

The FW5000HR series is designed for producing tapered insulation and roof insulation components from stone wool, PIR, PU and PUR.

It produces tapered insulation boards, valley boards, hip boards, roof crickets and other typical roof geometries for industrial insulation production.

APPLICATIONS

What are CNC Fastwire machines used for?

They are used wherever insulation and foam materials are processed into boards, contours, profiles or roof insulation components – from insulation cutting and contour/profile cutting to tapered insulation and packaging. Choose the application that best matches your production.

Typical tasks include cutting stone wool, cutting insulation materials and cutting PU, PUR and PIR rigid foam. Depending on the market, these machines are also described as abrasive wire cutting machines for insulation and foam.

Frequently asked questions

How do the four Fastwire series differ?

All four series use a fast-running cutting wire. The main difference is the material format and production task: individual boards with the FW1000H, boards and blocks where ceiling height is limited with the FW4000H, high volumes and complete pallets with the FW5000H, or tapered insulation and roof insulation components with the FW5000HR.

Which materials can the machines cut?

Typical materials include stone wool, PU, PUR, PIR, PE, EPE, PP, EPS, XPS, EPP and other technical foams. We offer the appropriate cutting wire for each material.

When is the FW1000H series the right choice?

When you mainly process individual boards and smaller parts. The FW1000H is suitable for profiles, insulation parts, packaging components and free 2D contours from board material.

Show more questions

When is the FW4000H series useful?

When you want to process boards and blocks flexibly and ceiling height is limited. The FW4000H combines a wide range of applications with a low machine profile.

When do I need the FW5000H series?

When your focus is on high volumes, large material quantities and industrial throughput. The FW5000H is designed for recurring production tasks and processing complete pallets.

When is the FW5000HR series the right choice?

When you produce tapered insulation or roof insulation components from stone wool, PIR, PU or PUR. The FW5000HR is specifically designed for tapered insulation boards, valley boards, hip boards, roof crickets and other roof geometries.

What is the difference between Fastwire and hot-wire cutting?

With Fastwire cutting, a fast-running cutting wire separates the material mechanically and abrasively. With hot-wire cutting, a heated wire melts through thermally cuttable foams. Fastwire is therefore particularly suitable for materials such as stone wool, PIR, PU and PUR.

Band saw or Fastwire machine?

For straight boards only, a band saw can be faster. As soon as contours and profiles are also required, the thin running cutting wire offers much greater flexibility.
