FW1000H series
CNC Fastwire machine for cut parts from boards and small blocks.
Here you will find an overview of our CNC Fastwire cutting machines and a simple selection aid for your application.
In Fastwire cutting, a thin, fast-circulating cutting wire saws mechanically through the material. The wire is only about 1.3 to 1.6 mm thick and runs at around 300 km/h – giving a very defined, clean cut.
Because the wire is so thin, it cuts not only panels but above all contours and moulded parts – which is not possible with a saw blade. The focus is therefore on CNC contour cutting.
For straight panel cuts only, a band saw is often faster – a saw blade allows higher cutting speeds. But as soon as contours and moulded parts are needed alongside panels and flexibility matters, the Fastwire machine is the right choice.
The machines cut insulation and foam materials such as PU, PUR, PIR, PE, EPE, PP as well as rock wool and glass wool. With the right cutting wire, EPS, XPS and EPP can also be cut – Fastwire is therefore very versatile in terms of materials.
Four machine series are available for Fastwire cutting.
Choose the FW1000H when you process single boards, the FW4000H for blocks and boards in low halls, the FW5000H for high volumes and whole pallets and the FW5000HR for producing tapered insulation and roof elements.

Wherever insulation and foam materials are processed into panels, contours, moulded parts or roof elements – from insulation cut-outs and contour and moulded-part cutting to tapered insulation and packaging. Choose the application that best suits your production.
Wire length, cutting speed, material density and component geometry influence machine selection, cut quality and production speed.
In our knowledge articles we explain the most important technical relationships and give guidance on selecting and using a CNC Fastwire cutting machine.

In Fastwire cutting, a thin, fast-circulating wire saws mechanically through the material. In hot wire cutting, a hot wire melts through meltable foams (EPS, XPS, Neopor, EPP). Fastwire is a sawing process, not a melting process – and very versatile: with the right wire it also cuts EPS, XPS and EPP.
For straight panel cuts only, a band saw is often faster – a saw blade allows higher cutting speeds. But as soon as contours and moulded parts are needed alongside panels and flexibility matters, the Fastwire machine is the right choice: the thin, fast-circulating wire cuts contours, which is not possible with a saw blade (CNC contour cutting).
The right machine does not depend on its size, but on your production: what you produce, how your material is supplied and how much space you have in the hall. The selection aid on this page guides you to the right series.
Wire length, cutting speed, material density and component geometry influence machine selection, cut quality and production speed. For different materials the right cutting wire is chosen.
