CUT1600S Series
4-axis CNC hot wire cutting machine for EPS, XPS and EPP sheets and smaller parts – for the workshop, model making and signage. Two versions: CUT1610S with a fixed and CUT1610SV with an adjustable machine table.
Here you will find an overview of our CNC hot wire cutting machines and a simple selection aid for your application.
Hot wire cutting is a thermal cutting process. A thin, electrically heated wire melts its way through the material – without mechanical pressure and without saw dust.
Unlike cold wire cutting, where a fast-circulating cutting wire mechanically saws through the material, the hot wire separates the material by melting.
Hot wire cutting is used above all for thermally cuttable foams such as EPS, XPS, Neopor and EPP.
Materials such as rock wool, PIR, PU or PUR cannot be separated with hot wire – cold wire cutting (Fastwire series) is intended for those.
Wire temperature and cutting speed are matched to the material. The power supply with automatic current control keeps the heating output constant even when the wire length changes.
Several machines are available for CNC hot wire cutting.
The CUT series cuts contours, profiles and shaped parts, the RoofCut series roof elements and tapered insulation.
4-axis CNC hot wire cutting machine for EPS, XPS and EPP sheets and smaller parts – for the workshop, model making and signage. Two versions: CUT1610S with a fixed and CUT1610SV with an adjustable machine table.
4-axis CNC hot wire cutting machine for whole EPS blocks as well as sheets from EPS, XPS and EPP – cut the required blank straight from the block. Two versions: CUT2100S with fixed and CUT2510S with variable machine table.
4-axis CNC hot wire production machine for large EPS and Neopor blocks as well as XPS – produce contours, profiles and special shapes from the block. Open walk-on steel table, optional rotary axis and multi-wire. Models CUT3251S to CUT3330S.
2-axis CNC multiwire hot wire cutting machine for EPS and Neopor blocks – up to 10 cutting wires at once, fixed open machine table, horizontally or vertically alignable, rotatable cutting arms. Models CUT4220S to CUT4330S.
2-axis CNC multi-wire hot wire cutting machine with a movable machine table and a fixed cutting frame – 10 cutting wires as standard, up to 20 optional, vertical wire alignment. Models CUT5125S to CUT5301S for series multi-wire production.
CNC hot wire roof cutting machine for roof insulation production from EPS, Neopor and XPS. Tapered boards with a multi-wire system as well as valley and hip boards, roof crickets and custom contours – two models by the length of the working area.
Hot-wire shredder for large offcuts of EPS, Neopor, XPS and EPP. Two cutting levels with 20 heated cutting wires each, material collected in the bag, mobile on castors.
From contour cutting through shaped parts to roof elements and tapered insulation: here you will find typical hot wire cutting applications.
The right machine does not depend on its size, but on your application: what you produce and how your material is supplied.
Then the CUT series is your machine – for free 2D contours, profiles, shaped parts and block cuts from EPS, XPS and Neopor.
The CUT series is available as a single-wire and multi-wire version and in several sizes – matching your component and block dimensions.
CUT – single wire CUT – multi-wire
For EPS, Neopor or XPS we recommend the RoofCut series – for tapered boards, valley and hip boards and roof saddles, and with the multi-wire system even tapered boards directly from the block.
For rock wool, PIR, PU or PUR the FW5000HR – our cold-wire roof cutting machine – is the right machine.

This is handled by our multi-wire and gang cutting machines (CT series) – from boards and tapered boards to strips and blocks, up to the semi-automatic complete line.
You will find an overview of all models on the block-slicer overview.

In our knowledge articles we explain the most important technical relationships and give guidance on selecting and using a CNC hot wire cutting machine.
