STUCCO PRODUCTION

Different materials – different processing

Stucco today is not simply a profile from one material. Depending on whether the element is used indoors or outdoors, the material, the processing and the subsequent production steps change.

For interior stucco, white XPS is used. The material can be cut cleanly with hot wire and is suitable for classic stucco mouldings, ceiling profiles and decorative elements indoors. After cutting, the profiles are mounted and then – like a wall or ceiling – painted with wall paint.

For façade stucco, EPS and Neopor are used. Here too the cut is made with hot wire. The decisive step, however, is the next one: the profiles are then coated so that the cut blank becomes a finished façade element for outdoor use.

A separate production route applies to rock wool. It is also used for stucco mouldings and façade profiles outdoors, but it cannot be cut with hot wire. That is why Fastwire technology is used here. After cutting, these profiles are coated as well.

CUTTING & FORMING

Which stucco elements would you like to produce?

Interior stucco from XPS, façade profiles from EPS and Neopor, round arches, capitals, complex 3D geometries or rock wool profiles – there is a suitable machine for every task.

Straight stucco mouldings from XPS?

For stucco mouldings indoors, white XPS is used. The panels are cut with hot wire into straight stucco mouldings and profiles.

A special XPS machine is available for this application. It can work with up to 5 cutting wires at once and thus cut up to 5 XPS panels in parallel.

Straight façade profiles from EPS or Neopor?

Straight stucco mouldings and façade profiles from EPS and Neopor are cut with the CUT3000S series in the hot wire process.

The machine is suitable for changing profiles, custom-made items as well as small and medium series. The profiles can then be coated for outdoor use.

Round and curved stucco mouldings?

Round arches and curved stucco mouldings are produced with the ArchCutter and a suitably pre-bent cutting wire.

Typical: round arches, curved decorative mouldings, arched friezes and façade profiles.

Capitals, head and base elements?

For profiled column elements such as capitals, heads and bases, the BC500S BaseCutter is used.

The contour is produced with a pre-bent wire while the workpiece is rotated during the cut.

MILLING

Produce ceiling ornaments and complex 3D geometries

Not every stucco geometry can sensibly be cut with wire. For complex parts from EPS, XPS and Neopor, milling is used.

Complex ornaments and 3D parts?

The W4 series is a 4-axis CNC router for EPS, XPS and Neopor with X, Y and Z axes as well as an integrated rotary axis.

This allows free 3D geometries to be machined just as well as parts where the workpiece has to be rotated during milling.

Typical: ceiling ornaments, rosettes, reliefs, complex stucco elements and other 3D geometries that can no longer be produced with a wire.

ROCK WOOL

Stucco mouldings and façade profiles from rock wool

Rock wool does not belong to hot wire or milling processing. The profiles are cut from rock wool panels with Fastwire.

Straight stucco mouldings from rock wool?

The starting basis are rock wool panels. These are cut with the FW1000H using the Fastwire process into straight stucco mouldings and façade profiles.

The profiles can then be coated for outdoor use.

COATING

Coat stucco profiles for outdoor use

Façade stucco from EPS, Neopor and rock wool is coated after cutting. Depending on the part shape, different systems are used.

Coat straight stucco profiles?

With the TC4800CB, straight stucco mouldings and façade profiles are coated in-line.

The coating thickness is defined via the respective template. This allows recurring profiles to be processed quickly and evenly.

Coat panels and flat façade elements?

For larger flat elements and panels, the panel coater is used.

Typical: façade panels and flat façade elements as well as pre-reinforced panels for outdoor use.

RESIDUAL MATERIAL

Shred offcuts directly

When cutting stucco mouldings and façade profiles from EPS and Neopor, offcuts and cut-outs occur.

With the SHD2000S, these offcuts can be shredded directly and the volume of the residual material significantly reduced.

Frequently asked questions

Which material is used for interior stucco?

For stucco mouldings indoors, white XPS is used. It can be cut cleanly with hot wire and then painted or processed further directly.

Which materials are used for façade stucco?

For outdoor applications, EPS, Neopor and rock wool are used. The finished profiles are then coated.

Which machine is used for straight stucco mouldings from XPS?

A special XPS machine is available for this. It can work with up to 5 cutting wires at once and thus cut up to 5 XPS panels in parallel.

Show more questions

Which machine is used for straight façade profiles from EPS and Neopor?

The CUT3000S series is intended for this. The profiles are cut with CNC hot wire and can then be coated for outdoor use.

How are round or curved stucco mouldings produced?

The ArchCutter is used for this. The desired profile shape is cut with a pre-bent wire.

How are capitals and bases produced?

These parts are made with the BC500S BaseCutter. The workpiece is rotated during the cut while a pre-bent wire creates the profile contour.

How are stucco mouldings from rock wool cut?

The starting basis are rock wool panels. These are cut with the FW1000H using the Fastwire process into straight stucco mouldings and façade profiles.

How are façade profiles coated?

Straight profiles are coated with the TC4800CB. For larger flat elements and panels, a separate panel coater is available.

When do I additionally need a CNC router?

If the desired geometry cannot sensibly be cut with wire, milling is used. The W4 series is suitable for ceiling ornaments, rosettes, reliefs and complex 3D parts from EPS, XPS and Neopor.

What happens to residual material from EPS and Neopor?

Larger offcuts can be shredded directly with the SHD2000S, which significantly reduces the volume of the residual material.
