Hang the wires – press the button – produce panels
Anyone who regularly has to cut panels or tapered boards from EPS or Neopor blocks needs a machine that simply produces once it is set up. That is exactly what the CT2000S Series is built for.
Place the material, run it through the machine and take the finished panels off on the outfeed side. Several cutting wires cut the block at the same time, so several panels are produced in one pass.
The CT2000S Series works semi-automatically and needs no computer and no programming. Set the cutting wires for the job, adjust speed and wire temperature, start the machine and produce.
The CT2000S Series is available in two sizes – technically identical, with a different working area. Which size suits your production is shown in the technical data.
The CT2000S Series is designed for cost efficiency in series production and pays off in day-to-day operation.
The biggest lever is producing panels in-house: you cut panels and tapered boards from the block yourself instead of buying them in – independent of standard sizes and delivery times.
Because several wires cut at once, each pass produces several panels. That noticeably lowers the time – and the cost – per panel.
The narrow hot-wire cut keeps waste low, and thanks to the long-lasting TiTA64 wire and tool-free changes, running costs stay low.
The EPS or Neopor block is placed on the conveyor belt and transported at an even speed through the cutting unit. There, several heated cutting wires cut through the block at the same time.
This produces several panels in one pass. On the outfeed side the finished panels are carried on via the roller conveyor and can be removed directly.
For tapered boards the cutting wires are hung at different heights on the two sides. This creates the desired gradient directly as the material passes through the machine.
On the CT2000S Series the cutting wires are hung manually and set to the required spacing. For each job the machine is set up according to the desired panel thicknesses or the desired gradient.
On the right and left side of the cutting unit there is a measuring scale in each case, so the individual cutting wires can be hung quickly in the correct position.
The CT2000S Series is therefore mainly worthwhile for recurring cuts and larger quantities. Setting up and rehanging the cutting wires takes some time. Once the machine is set up, large quantities of identical panels can then be produced continuously.
The CT2000S Series uses our TiTA64 cutting wire with 0.35 mm – a wire designed specifically for hot-wire cutting that withstands high temperatures and stays dimensionally stable in continuous operation.
The wires are heated by a power supply with automatic current control: it keeps the heating power constant across all cutting wires – even in multi-wire operation.
The wires are hung manually and tensioned by springs. These compensate for the change in wire length as it heats up and keep it under tension during cutting.
Cutting wire and tension springs are wear parts and can be obtained directly from cnc-multitool when needed.

The CT2000S Series can be extended with additional accessories for different production workflows.
The standard outfeed roller conveyor can be extended with additional roller conveyor sections – handy for long blocks and high throughput.
For heavy blocks, a driven roller conveyor is also available; it makes feeding and removing the material noticeably easier.
Cutting wire and tension springs are wear parts and can be changed without tools in just a few minutes.
With a clean setup the TiTA64 wire lasts a long time; replacements are always available directly from cnc-multitool.
The CT2000S Series can be set up and commissioned without special expertise.
On site, the machine and outfeed roller conveyor are aligned, connected electrically and the cutting wires are hung for the first job.
You then adjust wire temperature and conveyor speed to the material and start with a test cut. We are happy to answer questions by phone or email.
The CT2000S Series has a mechanically clear design and is low-maintenance in everyday use. Questions about settings, operation or a cutting problem are usually resolved directly by phone or email via our technical support.
The cutting unit, spring tension and drive are easily accessible. Minor work can be carried out by your own staff after a brief consultation.
Wear parts such as cutting wire and springs we keep in stock and ship at short notice – so the machine is only down briefly in a service case.
The CT2000S Series is designed for the series production of panels and tapered boards from EPS and Neopor blocks. It is particularly worthwhile for recurring dimensions and larger quantities.
The cutting wires are set manually to the required spacing and hung into the cutting unit. Measuring scales on both sides make accurate positioning easier.
Yes. For tapered boards the cutting wires are hung at different heights on the two sides of the cutting unit. This creates the desired gradient during the pass.
For individual or constantly changing cuts the CT2000S Series is less worthwhile, as the cutting wires have to be rehung and set up again manually for new dimensions. Its strength lies in larger quantities with the same dimensions.
No. The cutting wires are set manually. Then conveyor speed and wire temperature are set and production is started. A computer or CAM programming is not required.
By default the CT2000S Series works with up to 10 cutting wires; 20 cutting wires are available as an option.
The delivery time is usually approx. 6 weeks. We confirm the exact date with the quotation.
The cutting wires are set exactly to the desired spacing using the measuring scales on both sides, so panel thicknesses are even. The hot wire separates the material without pressure and leaves smooth, clean cut surfaces.
No. In hot-wire cutting the material is separated with a heated wire and not mechanically sawn – no sawing dust is produced.
