cnc-multitool Sales GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter “cnc-multitool”) takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We process your personal data exclusively in accordance with this privacy policy and the applicable statutory provisions, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

This privacy policy informs you about the processing of personal data when you use our website.

Processing when you use our website

Which data is processed when you visit our website, and for what purpose.

Server log files

When you use our website, we process personal data that your browser transmits to our server. This includes the IP address, the date and time of the request, the time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the content of the request (the specific page), the access status or HTTP status code, the volume of data transferred in each case, the website from which the request originates, the browser used, the operating system and its interface, and the language and version of the browser software.

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. It enables our website to be displayed and serves in particular to ensure its stability and security. The log files are deleted as soon as storing them is no longer necessary to achieve this purpose.

Cookies

Our website uses exclusively technically necessary cookies that are required for the operation and basic functions of the website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. We set technically necessary cookies on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and Section 25(2) TDDDG; consent is not required for this.

We do not use any analytics, tracking or marketing cookies, nor any corresponding third-party services. You can control or disable the storage of cookies via your browser settings; in this case, individual functions of the website may not be fully usable.

Embedding of videos (Ignite Video)

On our website we embed videos via Ignite Video, a European video hosting platform operated by Ignite Video GmbH, Immermannstraße 59, 40210 Düsseldorf, Germany. Processing takes place within the European Union.

When you open a page with an embedded video or start a video, your IP address is automatically transmitted to Ignite Video as part of the video request so that the video can be delivered. According to the provider, IP addresses are not stored in the process and no cookies are set for the provision of the video content (no cookie tracking).

The legal basis for the embedding is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in an appealing and data-minimising presentation of our video content. Further information can be found in Ignite Video’s privacy policy at https://ignite.video/de/datenschutz.

Contact and disclosure of data

Contact by email or contact form

When you contact us by email or via our contact form, the data you provide (in particular your name and email address, and where applicable your company and telephone number) is stored by us in order to process and respond to your enquiry. To make contact via the form, only your name and email address are required; further details are voluntary.

The data entered into the contact form is transmitted in encrypted form (SSL/TLS) between your browser and our server. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR. We delete the data as soon as storing it is no longer necessary, or we restrict processing if statutory retention obligations apply.

Disclosure of data

We only disclose the personal data we collect to third parties where this is justified under data protection law. Otherwise, we only pass your personal data to companies we have commissioned to perform individual tasks and services (processors). These are bound by our instructions and by the data protection regulations, are carefully selected by us and regularly reviewed; disclosure is limited to the extent necessary to perform the respective activity.

Beyond this, we only disclose your personal data to third parties where we are legally obliged to do so or are required to by court order.

Retention period and data security

Retention period

Personal data is only stored for the period necessary to achieve the respective storage purpose, or where this is provided for by law. If the storage purpose ceases to apply or a statutory period expires, the personal data is routinely blocked or deleted.

To protect your personal data, we take technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or destruction. Transmission via our contact form is encrypted (SSL/TLS).

We point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
