Quickly reduce bulky EPS, Neopor, XPS and EPP offcuts to a manageable size and collect them directly in the collection bag.
When processing large Styrofoam blocks, large and bulky offcuts often arise that cannot be reused – for example when producing letters, moulds or other large cut parts.
In many workshops these offcuts are reduced with an electric chainsaw or cut up on a CNC hot wire cutting machine. Afterwards the pieces have to be collected, put into bags and the work area tidied up again.
The SHD2000S takes over this job as a separate shredder. Offcuts are simply fed in from above, shredded by two cutting levels and collected directly in the collection bag fixed underneath.
This reduces labour time, machine time and unnecessary costs, while the actual cutting machine remains available for production.
Large offcuts are fed in from above into the 1,000 × 1,000 mm feed opening and fall by their own weight through two cutting levels, each with 20 heated cutting wires (40 in total) – so the material is shredded in two directions one after the other.
The spacing of the cutting wires can be adjusted individually and determines the piece size: at a spacing of about 50 mm, pieces of roughly 50 × 50 mm are produced. The shredded material falls directly into the collection bag fixed underneath.
Suitable for EPS, Neopor, XPS and EPP as well as other foams that can be cut thermally with a hot wire. Thanks to its castors, the SHD2000S can be used flexibly wherever offcuts occur.

The SHD2000S is prepared and function-tested at the factory. To keep packaging size and shipping costs as low as possible, the machine is delivered pre-assembled and finished on site at the customer.
For special applications the number of cutting wires can be adapted. For higher power demand, correspondingly rated power supplies are used.
The SHD2000S is delivered pre-assembled. To keep packaging size and shipping costs as low as possible, the final assembly is done at the customer.
The machine is then connected electrically, the desired wire arrangement is set and the collection bag is fitted.
Thanks to the castors, the SHD2000S can be used flexibly at different locations after assembly.
