10 cutting wires as standard, up to 20 optional. Vertical wire alignment – for EPS and Neopor up to 3 m block length.
The CUT5000S is a 2-axis CNC hot wire cutting machine for multi-wire production with EPS (Styrofoam) and Neopor. The cutting frame stays fixed during cutting while the machine table moves the material through the cutting frame.
This machine concept is designed for production workflows in which material transport, recurring cuts and integration into a managed material flow play an important role. The block is positioned on the table and then moved in a controlled way through the vertically arranged cutting wires.
As standard the CUT5000S works with 10 cutting wires. Optionally the machine can be extended to up to 20 cutting wires.
A conveyor belt and roller tables can optionally be integrated. This allows the material transport before, on and behind the machine to be matched to existing production workflows.
The CUT5000S is designed for series multi-wire production of identical or recurring cuts. It is particularly useful where several identical parts are produced simultaneously and in recurring production workflows.
Produce sheets and uniform trims with several cutting wires at once and in recurring dimensions.
Cut profiles, trims and 2D contours in larger quantities in parallel from Styrofoam or Neopor.
Produce recurring pipe shells and insulation profiles at the same time with several wires and a consistent geometry.
The CUT5000S is designed for production with EPS/Styrofoam and Neopor blocks.
Complete blocks of expanded polystyrene (EPS/Styrofoam) and Neopor are processed, from which sheets, profiles, formwork elements, technical cuts and pre-products are cut.
Depending on the machine model, blocks up to a length of 3,000 mm and a cross-section of up to 1,250 × 1,250 mm can be processed.
The movable machine table moves the block in a controlled way through the fixed cutting frame. This allows the material to be integrated directly into a recurring production workflow.
The CUT5000S combines vertical multi-wire cutting with a movable machine table. This allows recurring cutting tasks to be organised with a clear material flow and further automated if required.
The CUT5000S works with vertically arranged cutting wires. 10 cutting wires are available as standard; optionally the machine can be equipped with up to 20 wires.
Several identical contours or cuts are thus produced in parallel in one operation. The production output rises with the number of wires used simultaneously.
During cutting the cutting frame stays fixed. The machine table moves the block through the cutting wires and thus also takes over the controlled material movement.
This design is particularly suitable for recurring workflows in which the material is guided through the machine in a defined direction and then transported onward.
For recurring series the CUT5000S can optionally be equipped with a driven conveyor belt and roller tables before and behind the machine.
This makes it easier to feed the material, transport it onward after the cut and integrate the machine into a managed production workflow.
How long is your block and which wire length do you need? These two details determine the right machine model for the CUT5000S.
For block lengths up to 2,500 mm, the CUT5125S and CUT5251S are available. For blocks up to 3,000 mm, the CUT5130S and CUT5301S are designed.
The wire length determines the available working width for the multi-wire cut. 1,250, 2,500 and 3,000 mm wire length are available.
The table shows our standard models. Which version makes sense depends on the block format, the wire length and the planned production workflow.

The pure cutting speed is determined on the CUT5000S too by material, wire length and cutting conditions. For contour cuts the cutting speed is typically about 400–450 mm/min. The great productivity advantage comes on top of that from the number of cutting wires used at the same time.
With 10 cutting wires, up to ten identical cuts are produced in the same cutting time in which only one part would be made with a single wire.
If the machine is extended to up to 20 cutting wires, the parallel production quantity can rise accordingly for suitable products.
What matters is therefore not only the cutting speed but how many parts can be produced simultaneously in one operation.
The CUT5000S works with heated cutting wires designed for continuous use in multi-wire operation.
When heated, the cutting wires expand. The mechanical tensioning system absorbs this change in length and keeps the wires tensioned during cutting.
The cutting wires can be hooked in and out without tools. This allows the number of wires and the wire spacing to be matched to different products and production tasks.
The CUT5000S works as standard with a mechanical wire tensioning system. Pneumatic wire tensioning is not provided for this series.
Tension springs compensate for the thermal change in length of the heated cutting wires and keep the wires tensioned during the cutting process.
The wires are hooked in and out without tools. The number of wires and the wire spacing can thus be matched to the respective workpiece layout.
The system has a simple design and is suitable for recurring production tasks in which a defined wire layout is maintained over longer series.
Operating the CUT5000S follows a clear production sequence: set up the wire layout, load the cutting program, provide the material and start the job.
Recurring programs can be saved and called up again for series orders. This keeps the workflow clear even with larger quantities.
During cutting the machine moves the table independently through the fixed cutting frame. During this time the operator can already prepare material for the next job or organise the further material flow.
The standard control panel makes the most important machine functions available directly at the machine. Drawing, CAM and machine operation remain clearly separate work steps.
On the CUT5000S too, the software workflow is built in three clearly separated steps: create the drawing → generate the cutting program → cut.
Contours can be created with vector or CAD software. Vector programs are suitable for graphic contours, free 2D geometries and profiles. Technical and dimensionally accurate drawings are usually created with CAD software.
The finished drawing is transferred to CAM software. We recommend styroCAM Multiwire for creating the cutting programs.
In styroCAM, the contour, the number of wires and the desired workpiece layout are defined. From this the machine program for vertical multi-wire production is created.
styroCAM supports DXF, DWG and PLT among others and generates the required ISO G-code for the machine control.
The finished cutting program is transferred to the CUT5000S. At the machine the job is loaded, the start position is set and the cutting process is started.
The machine control then executes the programmed sequence and moves the table in a controlled way through the cutting frame.
styroCAM is recommended but not strictly required. Other CAM systems can also be used if they generate a suitable ISO G-code for the machine control.

The CUT5000S is designed for a managed material flow and recurring multi-wire production. The decisive factors are the fixed cutting frame, the movable machine table and the option to further automate material transport.
The cutting frame of the CUT5000S stays firmly in position during cutting. The cutting wires thus form a defined cutting plane through which the material is moved.
This design is particularly suitable for production workflows in which the material is always guided through the machine in the same direction.
The fixed cutting frame also forms the basis for the vertical arrangement of several cutting wires and a clear, repeatable workpiece guidance.
The material rests on the movable machine table and is moved in a controlled way through the fixed cutting frame during cutting.
The machine thus takes over not only the cutting process but also the defined movement of the material. The block does not have to be repositioned manually during the cut.
The concept creates a clear direction for feed, cutting and onward transport and can therefore be integrated well into recurring production workflows.
The CUT5000S is equipped as standard with 10 vertical cutting wires. For applications with a higher parallel quantity, the machine can be extended to up to 20 wires.
This produces several identical cuts at the same time in one operation. The available production time is thus not consumed by consecutive single cuts but used for parallel production.
The more identical parts are needed within one order, the more strongly multi-wire production affects the possible output of the machine.
The CUT5000S can optionally be complemented with a driven conveyor belt and roller tables.
This allows the material to be provided in front of the machine, transported through the cutting area and then carried on at the outfeed side.
Especially for recurring series, a managed material flow reduces manual transport routes and makes it easier to integrate the machine into existing production lines.

The CUT5000S Series is supplied as a ready-to-operate CNC hot wire cutting machine. Machine, control, control panel and basic software are already included.
The CUT5000S can be matched to the desired production workflow and, if required, extended for higher quantities, material transport and automated order workflows.
As standard the CUT5000S works with 10 cutting wires. Optionally the machine can be extended to up to 20 wires.
This allows even more identical cuts to be produced at the same time for suitable products and the production quantity per cutting cycle to be increased further.
The optional conveyor belt supports controlled material transport on the machine table.
Especially for recurring series, the material can thus be fed more evenly, moved through the cutting area and transported onward for the next production step.
Roller tables before and behind the machine make it easier to feed and remove the material.
They support an even material flow and reduce the manual effort when loading and unloading the machine.
You usually commission the CUT5000S yourself – for this we provide you with documents and videos and support you by remote service if required.
On request, our technicians take over installation and commissioning directly at your site – set up, connected, tested and handed over ready to operate.
Software and application training is possible at cnc-multitool, at your site or online via TeamViewer.
Yes. The machine is designed as standard for 10 cutting wires, but not all wires always have to be used. For a job, only the cutting wires needed for the desired workpiece layout are hooked in.
No. The wires can be hooked in with different spacings to suit the desired product. This allows the wire layout to be matched to the respective production task.
Multi-wire production is designed above all to cut identical contours several times at once. All the wires used follow the same programmed cutting path; different contours can therefore not be run independently with individual wires.
No. The CUT5000S is designed for vertical multi-wire cutting. If a production regularly needs horizontal and vertical multi-wire cuts, a different machine concept makes sense.
The hot wire separates the material without mechanical pressure. With a correctly set wire temperature and cutting speed, smooth and even cut surfaces are produced.
The cutting gap is typically about 1–2 mm. The cutting gap can be taken into account in the CAM software so that the finished contour is cut to size.
Hot wire cutting produces no saw dust, because the material is separated with a heated wire and not mechanically sawn or milled.
No. The CUT5000S works with a mechanical wire tensioning system. Pneumatic wire tensioning is not provided for this series.
Yes. With an optional conveyor belt and roller tables, the machine can be extended for recurring material and order workflows and integrated into existing production processes.
If you do not yet have a material supplier, we are happy to help you choose one. Depending on your location, we can name a suitable supplier for Styrofoam or Neopor or help with material procurement.
The CUT5000S is designed for EPS (Styrofoam) and Neopor. XPS is not part of this series; for PU, PUR, PIR, rock wool or glass wool our CNC cold-wire / fastwire series is intended.
Depending on the model, the CUT5000S processes blocks up to 3,000 mm in length with a cross-section of up to 1,250 × 1,250 mm. The available wire lengths of 1,250, 2,500 and 3,000 mm determine the working width for multi-wire cutting.
Contour cuts are typically cut at about 400–450 mm/min per wire. The real productivity advantage comes from the number of wires used at the same time – with 10 to 20 cutting wires the number of parts multiplies in the same cutting time.
We recommend styroCAM Multiwire, which is tailored specifically to multi-wire production and generates the ISO G-code from contour, wire count and workpiece layout. styroCAM is recommended but not mandatory – other CAM systems with suitable ISO G-code can also be used.
The CUT5000S is built to order as a production machine. The production and delivery time is approx. 6–8 weeks after order confirmation – depending on model, equipment and capacity. We agree the exact date with you when you enquire.
Yes. Cutting wire and tension springs are wear parts, can be reordered directly from us at any time and changed without tools.
