Why Short Wire Length Is Better Even for EPS


EPS is more forgiving than XPS – but the basic rule still applies: the shorter the wire, the better the quality. Short wires run more stably, vibrate less and allow higher cutting speeds. With long wire lengths – from approx. 3000 mm – dimensional deviations can occur if the block is damp inside or has varying densities. The long wire catches locally and deflects sideways.
